Rykneld Wellbeing Team

Meet our Team

Mrs HallamMy name is Mrs Hallam. I’ve been a Teaching Assistant for three years and have been at Rykneld for nearly two years. Previous to this role, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a school in Cyprus.

I will be delivering the ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) programme to support children to understand and regulate their emotions whilst also respecting the feelings of those around them.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and playing netball for my local team.

Our dedicated Wellbeing Team was created to ensure that all members of our school community felt supported. We believe that wellbeing is for everyone. We want to ensure that the support needed is recognised and implemented, and that all school staff work cohesively together with the schools Wellbeing Team.

Our school ethos is underpinned in our Mental Health and Wellbeing approach. We want our young people to Achieve the best they can, Believe in themselves and others and Care for themselves and those around them. Our team are here to support a range of children who are experiencing emotional difficulties that is impacting on their learning

We believe in our young people being:

  • Independent and resilient
  • Able to seek help when they need it
  • Able to manage their feelings
  • Able to problem solve
