In our school the pupils are involved in making important decisions about many different aspects of school life.

House and Vice Captains represent Rykneld at important events such as Open Evenings and Sports Days. They also meet on a weekly basis to count the green counters which have been collected by each class for good work and kind deeds around school, announcing these in weekly Celebration Assemblies themselves. 

School Council meet every half term to discuss charities we are going to support, ways to spend allocated money to improve the school and share all pupils' ideas.

Play Leaders at Rykneld are caring and thoughtful individuals who make sure that all pupils are happy during break times. They organise games and check that pupils are involved in different activities.

Eco-Warriors meet regularly and are involved in recycling projects across the school. They work hard to ensure our school grounds remain clean and tidy and  make a real difference to our environment.

School librarians enjoy running our library at lunchtimes and help to keep it tidy.

Our Online Safety Committee meet every half term to discuss online safety issues and help to make sure our lessons keep children well informed about these matters.
