Staffordshire Regiment Museum
Year 5 had a fantastic morning at the Staffordshire Regiment Museum. The children had the opportunity to visit a trench to experience what life would have been like for soldiers in WWI, as well as try on uniforms and handle artefacts from the time. They will be using this information over the coming weeks to create a fact-file about life in the trenches.
Year 5 have really enjoyed getting creative in their theme about Explorers. They have recreated techniques used in Tudor Portraits of Monarchs and explorers and they have also created an ensign for a Viking ship, as part of their work on Viking exploration. The children have used their sewing skills to develop their final piece. Have a look at some of their work below.
