This week the children have been celebrating Safer Internet Day. In Key Stage 1, through stories such as DigiDuck, the children have been learning about their digital footprint and how their social media lives will always stay on the internet. They have learnt about how to spread positive messages on the internet through words and emojis and how to stay safe. In Key Stage 2, the children have been looking at creating positive images on social media and how comments can be interpreted in different ways. We have discussed how to stay safe when communicating online, including looking at how the internet can be used to persuade and influence your views. If you have any queries about what your child has learnt this week or would like support with keeping your child safer on the internet, please do not hesitate to contact us.
